Today I am working as a freelance photographer and author in Lenzburg near Zurich. I was born in 1953 in Berne, the capital of Switzerland. During my studies I started to work as freelance photographer and journalist. [DEUTSCH]

At the age of 22 I got my first registration as a photographer at the Montreux Jazz Festival, publishing my pictures in two major Swiss newspapers. Two years later, in 1977, I received a Special Award at the international show The World of Jazz in Photography in Burghausen, Germany.

From 1983 to 2013 I worked as a full time producer and filmmaker with Swiss Television in Zurich, producing TV shows and documentaries, as well as directing short films. Since then my main topics have been music and photography.

In 2006 I received the renowned Zurich TV Award for the TV series PHOTOsuisse, portraying 28 contemporary Swiss photographers. With the acclaimed book designer Lars Muller I edited the accompanying book.

During my TV years I began working on two photographic series STREET ART and CITY REFLECTIONS shown for the first time in Solothurn at the Haus der Kunst in 2008. The group exhibition with Heinz Scheidegger and Leonardo Bezzola was curated by Maxe Sommer. These series are ongoing projects until today.

In late 2013 I choose to become a freelancer again, in order to devote more time to my own projects.
